Understanding the Canadian Dental Care Plan (CDCP)

cropped favicon icon

The Canadian Dental Care Plan (CDCP) is a government program designed to make dental care more affordable for Canadians who don’t have dental benefits and have a household income of less than $90,000 a year. Think of it as financial support for those who need it most. It’s not a free program, but it’s here to help reduce the cost of essential dental care.

This plan is meant for people who don’t already have access to dental coverage through work, school, or private insurance. It’s managed by Health Canada and administered by Sun Life, so decisions about eligibility and covered services are handled by them, not our team.
